This is for Spencer in the service dept. I came in for what I thought was an A/C problem on my Santa Fe. After explaining the problem, he came out and looked at the A/C and showed me what I was doing wrong. He assured me that was often what people didn`t understand and it was all good. Spencer is a really knowledgeable service advisor! Thanks Spencer!
All services requested were performed. Additional pricing requests we’d accomplished. Uber service home and back to dealership.
I've been going to Beaverton Hyundai for over 10 years! I'm always treated fairly and with honesty, so I keep going back!
Inquired about a Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited. Was told my offer was not something that could be done. I showed them some local dealers that had similar car deals but this one had the car I was more interested in with color and trim. Less than 10 days later the car dropped in price to nearly the identical price I had offered but in those 10 days my personal car value dropped by $1,400. I asked about the car and availability and to work with the trade in but got no response. I had to text the dealership just to get the test drive and a new rep. I said I just needed to do one more test drive and would likely be back within two days. I ended up having availability the next day and when I reached out twice I got no response. Figuring the day was busy I didn't think anything of it and did my test drive the following day at another dealer but before that I emailed to make sure the car was still there but got no response. I called after a few hours, around 3 pm and was told the car was. I did my other test drive and had decided that the Elantra here was my choice. I texted and emailed again but got no response. I didn't get a response for another two days and was told that he had been off last few days but he was ready to make the deal. But a few hours later he tells me the car was sold and that he "tried telling me that it would sell quickly", which he didn't. He said it sold the following day which contradicts what the dealership said when I called. So one sales rep said my offer wasn't possible, only for the car to be listed at that price within 2 weeks and while the other was more helpful the lack of communication is frustrating especially when working on a deal.
Other than the usual requirement that a buyer talk to half a dozen people to complete a purchase and spend 6-7 hours before one can leave with the vehicle - Beaverton Hyundai has pulled a unique screw up. After receiving a check for over eight hundred dollars refunded for "excess DMV fees" we inquired why we were receiving the check. It turns out Beaverton Hyundai decided independently that we wanted to transfer the title to our Honda truck which we were not trading in nor planing to sell. They both sent in the paper work to DMV but charged us for new registration. So now the DMV is going to transfer the registration - which will need to be corrected, we can't drive the truck because the registration has been transferred. One would think that one of six people who pestered us with conversation during the ordeal at Beaverton Hyundai would be competent in completing the paperwork. Now the sales manager who said he would straighten things out defended Beaverton Hyundai by saying that we had requested the transfer - we apparently signed the paper work - but as anyone who has purchased a vehicle or a house knows that nothing is explained when the signing takes place. What is most disturbing is that we never drove our truck to the dealership so they had to look up the plate number somehow??? Well we have to wait until the DMV transfers the registration so we can transfer it back (3-6 months?). Problem is this dealership is no worse than the quality of competence one gets anywhere these days. But a screw up with the DMV is unforgivable. So I gave them 2 stars instead of average 3 stars.
My experience at the sales department of Beaverton Hyundai with Bryan, Brandon, and Ali was what I consider to be not typical. I was extremely impressed by their sincere approach, honesty, and willingness to really listen to my concerns. And, as a bonus, I thoroughly enjoyed our interactions. Kudos to the aforementioned sales people. I’m even going to add a, “Bravo!” to that!
Joel Iwanaga was a the nicest salesperson I worked with at Beaverton Hyundai. He gave me the greatest customer service ever and he was also a wealth of knowledge. He knew the exact type of vehicle that I was looking for. I actually thought he was a manager when I first met him. Hyundai should feel lucky to have this fine young man! Thank you Joel!!
I really wanted to trade in my car for the '24 Tucson Hybrid Blue for $34,675 at 1.99%/60 mos. Except they didn't have a Blue model on the lot, and I was told "get them rarely". I was ready to order one, but was told that model didn't come with the heated front seats and navigation system as advertised on their website. So I test drove the next model up, the SEL Convenience, starting at $37,150. Super comfy, and I really wanted the navigation system and heated seats (that they said the Blue model didn't have those features as currently advertised). Salesperson offered me a $25,000 trade with no money down at 1.99%. They even have one in blue! Deal right?! The salesman goes to get the blue model and drives right into the gray SUV I just test drove! Fortunately there's no damage to the blue grill. I'm still impressed with the car, but now I have to wait for it overnight while they "inspect it" for potential damage. And I had already spent over 6 hours there. I go to sign the paperwork and the contract is for $2,000 down, not the $0 down I was told by the salesperson. On top of that I'd have to pay $1,500+ to cover electrical problems that aren't covered by the 10-year service warranty. EVERYTHING in the car is electric. I'm feeling nervous now, but really like the car and already signed the deal. When I get home I start researching and discover some horror stories on the Hyundai forum of various new Hyundai HEVs (including the '24 Tucson HEV) reporting random automatic emergency breaking at highway speeds! This freaks me out, so when I go in the next day to get the car I ask about this, ask if this feature can be disabled, and state my safety fears to the manager who looks at me blankly and says "We'll give you your car back." Okay. I'll take it. I guess that's great, but I was really wanting some more information and assurance. These guys really didn't want my business.
Best Inventory in town. I had done my research, connected with Troy ahead of time. When we got to the dealership the night addition, I was looking at was pulled up front. We shook Troy's hand, took the Palisade for a quick test drive. Even with a trade in (again I did my research and knew exactly what I was willing to take for the trade) we were out the door in our new vehicle in a little over an hour. I would HIGHLY recommend Troy and Beaverton Hyundai. This is the 3rd Hyundai i have purchased and the best experience yet.
I came in looking to test drive a new all electric Kona. I made it clear I was just starting to look but wanted to try driving an electric before buying. After being greeted by a nice gentleman, I was directed over to Troy. He didn't introduce himself or ask my name, and the only information regarding the car he offered while in the office was to try to upsell me on the package. While on the test drive, Troy barely said more than 1 word. I asked specific questions about the car and basically got 1 word responses (ex. "So the car charges when you brake?" "Yeah..." and "What's the difference between this year and last year's model?" "This one's bigger..."). Offered no info on the car besides these one/two word answers to questions I specifically asked. He did however take the opportunity to complain about only getting 2 days of vacation a year. After we parked he said "Well thanks" and immediately headed inside and seemed annoyed when I asked about potentially getting a price/payment idea. If I do end up purchasing this car, my experience made certain I will not be buying it here.
They lie to make sales. We have it on text they lied and they won’t do a thing about it. We’ll also be leaving reports with the better business bureau over this and reaching out to the attorney general as well! Stay away! They are very dishonest! Update, I was reading other reviews and they have done this before! It’s not a bug or a one off incident it’s a lie that they use to sell cars! Further Update, after calling them and having the manager refuse to do anything about it, we sent in official complaints and then he finally called back to offer a portion of the minimum of $2,000 difference between what we were told and received. He gave us a check for $500. So a quarter of what the minimum benefit of what we were told and again we have this in writing that they told us this. So after jumping through hoops to give a small portion of what they misrepresented, he asked me to take down the review. No chance, I still would recommend people stay away from this place and particularly the manager. If they actually want to make this right, then I will actually take down the review, or if they do something more than the difference of what they lied about then I might be able to give it a positive review. But again, I can’t recommend staying away from them enough
I purchased my Ionic from Beaverton Hyundai in December 2018. It currently has about 12,000 miles. Recently, by appointment, I took my car in for an oil change. I was checked-in by Service Advisor Aaron. I asked if they would also check the very loud/annoying clunk/rattle in the right rear of the car. Aaron was irrated and said the cost would start at $179 and go up depending on time. Also, I would need to leave the car there for at least two days. I was a bit taken back by the charge for just checking the noise. Aaron said they did not have time to check it today, anyway. It was apparent that Aaron and I were not going to get along so I said to forget it. Aaron was visably angry. When I picked the car up, Aaron said they would "comp" the oil changed (I had a $25 coupon) because of our disagreement. When I got home I realized I had no paperwork to show the work done, I.e. the oil change. I texted Aaron and requested paperwork. I never received an acknowledgment or paperwork. I have never had an issue with a service department but this is my second incident with Beaverton Hyundai. In the future I will take my Ionic to Hillsboro. I'm done here!
absolutely horrific service experience, was told someone would contact me ahead of my appointment to discuss what needed to be done. never heard from anyone so repeatedly tried to get in contact with someone in the service dept to no success. was told a manager would call me back which never happened. when i showed up for my appointment they wanted to do the same evaluation they had done six weeks earlier when i was there for the same issue. I was told the manager had “stepped out” when i asked to speak to someone else. truly unbelievably bad communication and it was clear no one there cared. I know others who have had similarly bad experiences. go literally anywhere else if you need something for your car.
The most unpleasant and unprofessional experience I've ever had. No loaners. Wanted the car for four hours for a job Gladstone completed in 30 minutes without an appointment! Had three separate appointments. Showed for the first, and the "only technician capable for this job" was "hospitalized today" but would be back tomorrow?? Then I made an appointment, which they late claimed was not on their books. And then, it happened a second time!!! I got an automated questionaire later about the "appointment." The waiting area is gross. Admittedly I formerly drove a Lexus, and the dealership is first class. This review required I select an employee, but I really don't recall.
Car was towed from my house. A service provider, Robbie called Tues night and gave a phone number - phone was never connected or working! I told him I needed to pick up the car in the afternoon on Wed and he agreed. Wed at work I had to take several breaks 6* trying to chase down the status of my car. Twice I spoke w reception who promised a quick call back. That never happened and I had to keep calling When Robbie called it was already past 2 and he tells me the battery isn’t replaced yet. I was really disappointed because by that time it had already been in your possession over night and 6 working hours at least and I had an appt that morning at 7:45! He said that it needs a need battery and explained it isn’t under warranty and the cost is under $300. That was disappointing yet I agreed and authorized $300 repair. So at this point I estimated my final bill to be around $400. I asked for a discount due to poor customer service and poor communication. He agreed. It was getting later in the day and I needed to leave town as planned for a long weekend. Robbie called to tell me the car was ready and the discount was honored. I told him I already left town and so he left the car with sales Terrible communication and follow through for service. I had to call 6 times and left 2 vm with the service manager CRAIG. Attempted to charge me double what I verbally authorized. Charged another customer's credit card for my invoice instead of the card I presented. Forgot some of what I asked them to fix. Total dog xxxx business - don't go here unless you are looking for some drama in your life!
